John Noble Home

John Noble Apartments is Brantford’s first high density, mixed income, self-sustaining building that provides much needed apartments for seniors in the City of Brantford and the County of Brant.

Vicano Construction chose Composite TotalJoist for the superstructure of the building and incorporated our proprietary precast balconies into the design. Each balcony incorporates a thermal break for less thermal transfer.

We also worked closely with the team at Vicano on a slopped joist construction with a concrete roof to help with drainage. A brick ledger support system was incorporated into the floor as well as simple roof anchor details allowing for integration of window washing systems into the building.
